The Advanced Medical Assistant of America Web site made its humble debut in December of 2000 from a small living room corner desk. Monika D. Rodgers, who is better known on the Internet as "Danni R.", recognized the need for a functioning medical assistant Web site and established the very first community Web site created by a medical assistant for medical assistants; regardless of their location, nationality, work status, or credentials.

Prior to the launch of this Web site, an Internet search for a medical assistant Web site yielded hardly any results. While the Internet abounded with Web sites for nurses there were virtually NONE in existence solely for the medical assistants of this country.

Fortunately this has changed! Since its launch to the Internet the Advanced Medical Assistant of America web site continues to grow steadily and remains the premier informational resource for medical assistants and healthcare professionals who seek guidance for advancement in their discipline.

About the Author and Owner of This Site

Danni R., the author and registered owner of the certmedassistant.com domain, is the sole maintainer of this Web site. She is a certified medical assistant gone Web designer and online educator serving the medical assistant community coast-to-coast.

In her previous capacity as a certified medical assistant in all clinical and administrative medical assistant disciplines she taught the medical assisting vocational training curriculum at well known institutions such as the Porter and Chester Institute, Branford Hall, and the Ultrasound Diagnostics School in Massachusetts.

She now writes, publishes, and teaches her own basic medical terminology, anatomy, pharmacology, medical assisting courses online at UniversalClass.com, where in February 2005 she was ranked number 3 out of 11,913 online instructors based on student feedback and course participation.
